How it plays - five beats
1. Draw & Prepare
Draw 1 to refresh your hand and set your rhythm.
2. Play Utilities
Boost, bait, or gather intel. Subtle advantages decide the coming clash.
3. Declare Your Strike
Commit to the attack, feint to draw a counter, or hold. Initiative is everything.
4. Resolve the Exchange
Reveal, counter, riposte. Precision and nerve turn the tide.
5. Fate & Aftermath
Fate rewards or punishes boldness. Fall? Return as a Ghost — the duel isn’t over.
CHARACTERS
Choose your warrior
The game consists of five different characters each with their own unique abilities.
Your warrior can evolve to become a spirit and change the fate of others or become a ghost to unleash special abilities.
The Dishonored
A fallen warrior bound by shame. Their points can never be stolen, but loss still gnaws at them. In death, they return as the vengeful spirit Makiryu.
The Shadow
Blade of the darkness, immune to sight and levy. In duels, opponents’ tricks falter, leaving only raw steel. Their spirit form becomes Renko, the stalker.
The Unknown
The nameless path—resistant to the loss of life itself. Loss cards feed Fate’s hand, yet may be stolen. Death reveals Goka Oni, the honoring spirit.
The Rogue
King of the Forgotten, immune to loss of points. Cards fall to Fate where others may steal them. In death, deception reigns as Enbaku.
The Empress
Queen of the Blossom, untouched by both loss of life and points. Fate holds her burdens, but others covet them. She becomes the merciful spirit Reika.
